    TILESET HEADS........Video & Process Works

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ICE DREAM, Video by Eben Kling & Aude Jomini
    with Music by Mountain Movers

For this project, Aude Jomini and Eben Kling made a tile-map using open-source 32 bit tile-sets
to create a digital animated painting. Complex fields of partial, repeated and visually corrupted
32-bit images compose a figural portrait which the viewer never fully experiences.
The camera motion crawls on the glitch terrain, weaving through layers of objects, revealing the whole partially and slowly.
Eben and Aude are interested in forms of collective digital identity constructed from modular graphic units.
The project explore tensions between replication and mutation in gridded sequences allowing forms to grow and reproduce.
This work sets up structures for recombination to create a speculative layered painting. The result suggests genetic diversity,
wild viral genomic expression and the corruption of identity, both digital and physical.
Its imagery becomes a cultural visual virus sent back into collective experience as connective graphic mythology.
A risograph edition is also part of this project.
